Gerringong Surf School has been operating since early 2018, as a family-run business. Rusty Moran’s 40 years of surfing experience as well as his stint as a professional big wave surfer helped ignite his passion for teaching the next generation.

In 2001, we established Veteran Surf Project, a non for profit charity helping Veterans and First Responders overcome PTSD via surfing.

Rusty is completing a PhD in surf therapy, investigating the long term significant mental health improvements that participants have experienced from VSP.

Gerringong Surf School is all about teaching surfing and skateboarding using a step-by-step approach that will help all students develop their love for the ocean, and become stronger, more resilient individuals.
